Monica Vazquez

Monica Vazquez is a journalist and university professor specializing in borders, migration, identity, and human rights. With 14 years of international experience in Northern Europe and the Americas, she is fluent in Spanish, English, and possesses intermediate proficiency in German.

Monica has held various roles in the media industry, serving as a scriptwriter, digital journalist, full-time reporter, independent author, and foreign correspondent.

​She earned her B.A. in Art History from Universidad Iberoamericana, followed by an M.A. in Journalism, Media, and Globalization from the Universität Hamburg in Germany and Aarhus Universitet in Denmark. Monica completed her Ph.D. in Literary Research and Creation at Centro Cultural Casa Lamm.

​She has been a professor at the Instituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Centro Cultural Casa Lamm and Universidad de Guadalajara.
